The Kansas City Royals begin the second homestand of the season by welcoming the American League Central rival Minnesota Twins for a three-game weekend series starting Friday. The homestand concludes with a three-game set against the Seattle Mariners in their only visit of the season.

“It All Happens Here” at Kauffman Stadium in 2010 as the Royals announce an exciting promotions and special events lineup. The schedule features great giveaways, the return of fan favorites, and the introduction of special offers which allow fans to experience all the offerings of Kauffman Stadium at exceptional values.

Royals Blue Replica Jersey: Fans can gear up for the 2010 season in style by getting a Royals Blue Replica Jersey on Saturday, April 10. The jerseys, presented by Fox Sports Kansas City, will be given away to the first 20,000 fans.
25th Anniversary of the 1985 World Series: The Royals will commemorate the 25th Anniversary of its historic World Series victory in 2010 with a month-long series of special events and promotions.
The celebration begins with the second annual Willie Wilson Classic presented by Willie Wilson Baseball and Farmland Foods on Saturday, May 22. The Classic will feature the 1985 World Series Royals Alumni in a softball game against members of the 1985 St. Louis Cardinals prior to the Royals-Rockies 3:10 p.m. matchup. Proceeds benefit TeamSmile, which provides dental care to underprivileged children in the Kansas City community. Fans are encouraged to visit royals.com to see an updated list of players scheduled to participate.
Promotions will also include a 1985 25th Anniversary t-shirt presented by AT&T, a Bret Saberhagen bobblehead presented by Fox Sports Kansas City, a Build-A-(Polar) Bear presented by the Kansas City Zoo and a Salute to the 1985 World Series poster presented by James Printing.
Greinke Bobblehead: The Royals salute the reigning American League Cy Young Award winner by honoring him in bobblehead form. A Zack Greinke Bobblehead presented by Sprint will be given to the first 20,000 on Saturday, April 24 as the Royals take on the Minnesota Twins.
T-Shirt Tuesdays Return: T-Shirt Tuesdays return to Kauffman Stadium in 2010! This season’s series will include unique designs featuring Zack Greinke and Joakim Soria. For details, visit royals.com/tshirttuesdays.
SPECIAL EVENTS LINEUP
Girls’ Night Out – Double the Royal Treatment: Due to popular demand, ladies receive the Royal treatment twice in 2010. The first Girls’ Night Out event, which benefits Susan G. Komen for the Cure and is presented by Celsius Tannery, is set for Friday, May 14. The second installment, supporting the American Heart Association, is slated for Saturday, September 18. The first 10,000 females through the gates on Friday, May 14 will receive a Royals t-shirt and on September 18, a Royals cap.
Kansas City Sky Show: The Royals are excited to bring the Third Annual Kansas City Sky Show presented by Hy-Vee/Pepsi back to Kauffman Stadium on Friday, June 4. The Sky Show is the largest fireworks spectacular in Kansas City.
610 Saturdays are Back: The Royals will once again team up with Entercom Radio to bring great food and live music to Saturday pregame festivities. Events will take place in the Outfield Experience.
Buck Nights: Buck Nights are back and better than ever! The fan-favorite now has a dessert offering as Twinkies have been added to the Buck Night menu. For seven select dates throughout the season, fans can purchase hot dogs, small Pepsi products, peanuts and Twinkies for just $1 each. Buck Nights are scheduled for April 27, May 12, July 16, July 29, August 18 and September 15. In addition, the Royals will offer a special holiday version of Buck “Day” to help celebrate Memorial Day when the Royals host the Los Angeles Angels in a 1:10 p.m. game on May 31.
