Royals visit U.S. Capitol, Walter Reed Army Medical Center
While the Royals travel to Baltimore each year, this was their first trip to Washington since the Nationals began playing in D.C. in 2005. Royals players, staff members and family have had the opportunity to take special tours during their stay.
This morning, a group toured the U.S. Capitol as guests of Senator Kit Bond of Missouri. FSKC’s Joel Goldberg sent us photos of the tour. A second group that included Manager Ned Yost, Mike Aviles, Willie Bloomquist, Billy Butler and Luke Hochevar was set to visit patients at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
ROYALS JUNE 23 GAME AT WASHINGTON ADDED TO FOX SPORTS KANSAS CITY TV SCHEDULE
Fox Sports Kansas City has added the Royals game on Wednesday, June 23 at Washington to its telecast schedule. The Royals are scheduled to face Nationals rookie pitching phenom Stephen Strasburg that day.
Royals Live pregame coverage from Nationals Park will start at 3 p.m. CT, with the game broadcast at 3:30 p.m. Fox Sports Kansas City will replay the game in prime time, starting at approximately 6:45 p.m.
The June 23 game was not previously scheduled for TV. As part of the schedule change, the Royals Sept. 13 game vs. Oakland will not be televised.
