Single-game tickets on sale Saturday, February 26; wristband procedure for sales at The K starts Thursday

Single-game tickets for the Kansas City Royals 2011 season, including a limited number of Opening Day tickets, will go on sale on Saturday, February 26 at 10 a.m.  Tickets will be available on-line at royals.com, by phone at 1-800-6ROYALS, at the Kauffman Stadium Box Office and at metro-area Hy-Vee stores. Please note that Opening Day tickets will not be available at the Hy-Vee stores.

All fans planning to purchase tickets at Kauffman Stadium on February 26 must enter the Truman Sports Complex through Gate 2, located off of Blue Ridge Cutoff on the east side of the complex, or Gate 6, off of Stadium Drive on the west side.  All other gates will be closed to fan traffic.  Fans should park in Lot M and proceed to the Kauffman Stadium Box Office located at Gate C.  Overnight camping will not be permitted.  The complex will open at 7 a.m. on February 26.  The I-70 exit at Blue Ridge Cutoff is closed due to construction.  Fans should follow detour signs to access Blue Ridge Cutoff.

The Royals will implement a random drawing procedure for purchasing tickets at Kauffman Stadium on February 26.  Fans wishing to take part in the random drawing must obtain a wristband at the Gate C lobby on Thursday, February 24 (noon to 6 p.m.), Friday, February 25 (noon to 9 p.m.), or Saturday, February 26 (7 a.m. to 9:15 a.m.)  There is no advantage to collecting a wristband early within this time frame.  On February 26, any fan that does not have a wristband will be in a second line behind the fans with wristbands.  The drawing to determine line order will be held at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday and tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m.  Fans taking part in the random drawing will be able to purchase up to four Opening Day seats, while supplies last.

The Kauffman Stadium Box Office will be open on Saturday, February 26 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday, February 27 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Beginning February 26, phone operators will be available from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week.  The Royals Majestic Team Store will open for fans at 8 a.m. on Saturday and remain open until 2 p.m.

Season ticket packages are currently available at royals.com and by calling (816) 504-4040.  Fans can guarantee Opening Day tickets with any Full Season, Half Season, 21-game or Pepsi Max Pick 15 plan (while supplies last).

DRI DUCK Fountain Seats for the April 5 opener will go on sale on March 6.  DRI DUCK Fountain Seats for the remaining 80 games will be sold on the day of the game only.

The Kauffman Stadium Box Office will be open on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  In addition, there will be extended hours for phone sales for the entire 2010 season.  Beginning March 6, phone operators will be available from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week.  The Royals Majestic Team Store will open for fans at 8 a.m. on Saturday and remain open until 4 p.m.

Hello, Royals fans! Single-game tickets for the 2009 season are available now at royals.com!

Ticket Line.jpgA crowd of fans lined the parking lot at Kauffman Stadium to buy tickets this morning. As you can see, the line was long, but many fans were able to purchase tickets for the April 10 home opener. While these tickets sold out quickly, you can still secure tickets for the home opener with a season ticket package of 21 or more games.

 

 

 

We witnessed a bit of history as the new Kauffman Stadium box office opened for the first time.

Legacy Bricks installed, single-game ticket procedure

Single-game ticket sale procedure

Single-game tickets for the 2009 season, including a limited number of Opening Day tickets, go on sale this Saturday, March 7 at 9 a.m.  Tickets will be available at royals.com, by phone at 1-800-6ROYALS, at metro-area Hy-Vee stores (no Opening Day tickets available) and at the Kauffman Stadium Ticket Windows.

Fans planning to purchase tickets at Kauffman Stadium on Saturday must enter the Truman Sports Complex through Gate 2, located off of Blue Ridge Cutoff on the east side of the complex, or Gate 6, off of Stadium Drive on the west side.  All other gates will be closed to fan traffic.  Fans will be instructed to park in Lot J and directed to the Kauffman Stadium Ticket Windows located at Gate C.

Due to the ongoing construction at the Truman Sports Complex, overnight camping will not be permitted.  The Royals will implement a random drawing procedure for purchasing tickets at Kauffman Stadium on Saturday.  Beginning at 5 p.m. on Friday and ending at 7:20 a.m. on Saturday, fans may visit the Truman Sports Complex at Gate 2 or Gate 6 to collect a numbered ticket from a Royals event staff member.  There is no advantage to collecting a ticket early within this time frame.  The drawing to determine line order will be held at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday at Gate B, located at the southwest corner of Kauffman Stadium.  Fans with numbered tickets must be in place by 8:30 a.m. to ensure their spot in line.

For those fans who come to the stadium Saturday to purchase tickets, the Royals will conduct brief 10-minute tours of the newly renovated Plaza Level from 9-10 a.m.

The Kauffman Stadium Ticket Windows will be open special hours for the opening weekend of sales.  Tickets may be purchased at the stadium on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  In addition, there will be extended hours for phone sales for the entire 2009 season.  Beginning this Saturday, phone operators will be available from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week to better serve Royals fans.

In the Greater Kansas City area, fans can purchase tickets by calling the Royals Call Center at (816) 504-4040.  Fans outside Kansas City can call 1-800-6ROYALS (1-800-676-9257).

Season ticket packages are currently available online at royals.com and by calling (816) 504-4040.  Fans can guarantee themselves Opening Day tickets with any Full Season, Half Season or 21-game season ticket plan starting at just $168 per seat.
