The Royals will hold an open tryout camp at Mid America Sports Complex located at 20000 Johnson Drive in Shawnee, Kansas, tomorrow morning, Saturday, October 11.
Each player is required to sign a liability waiver. If a player is under age 21 a parent or guardian must also sign the waiver. Click here for a printable waiver. Copies will be available at the tryout camp.
College players are not eligible to participate in this tryout camp as it takes place during the academic year. High school players must have written permission from their school principal.
There is no registration fee. Registration will begin at 8:00 a.m. and the camp will start at 8:30 a.m. Bring your own personal equipment (shoes, glove, etc.). If you do not have a uniform, you should wear loose-fitting clothing, which will allow you to move freely.
Any and all expenses incurred are the responsibility of the player.
The Royals are holding an open tryout camp on Tuesday, June 10 at Mid-America Nazarene University (2030 E. College Way) in Olathe, Kan. There is no registration fee and registration will begin at 8 a.m. The camp follows, starting at 9 a.m.
The camp is for players who aren’t selected by another major league organization in the 2008 June Free Agent Draft. According to the release, American Legion players are required to bring a letter of permission to participate signed by either their Legion Coach or Post Commander.
Also, each player participating must sign a liability waiver, which can be found online at royals.com here (FYI…there will also be copies available at the tryout camp if you forget to bring one.). If the player is younger than 21, a parent of guardian must also sign the waiver.
Remember to bring your own personal equipment (shoes, glove, etc.) and, if you aren’t sporting a uniform, feel free to wear just some loose-fitting clothing.
