Outfield Experience – Unlimited Play Pass

Thumbnail image for Carousel 2.jpgHere’s a great deal…the Royals are now offering a $10 Unlimited Play Pass for the Outfield Experience!  That’s right, for $10 per person, you can ride the Carousel, putt a few rounds at Sluggerrr’s Golf Stop at The K, hit at the John Deere Little K and more!


On the day of the game, the passes are available at the Box Office, the Majestic Team Store and the Outfield Experience Ticket Booth.  For future games, please visit the Box Office or call the Royals Sales and Group Sales Department at 816-504-4040 or 1-800-6ROYALS.

Border War tonight at Kauffman!

The KU and MU baseball teams will battle it out tonight at Kauffman Stadium.  The game starts at 7:00, with gates opening at 5:30.  General admission seating is $10.

Royals season ticket holders, students, and alumni from both schools can attend for $7.  Children ages 14 and under will be admitted for $5, while kids under 32 inches in height can attend for free.
Come on out and show your school spirit tonight at the “New” Kauffman Stadium!

Kauffman Stadium Tours

Stadium tours are back at Kauffman Stadium! The tour program was put on hold during the renovation process, but now things are in full swing and better than ever!


Three levels of tours are offered – “The Classic,” “The All-Star,” and “The Grand Slam.” Be sure to come out to see all of the behind-the-scenes areas at the renovated Kauffman! To learn more about the tour program and to purchase tour tickets online, follow this link:

Grand Re-Opening marked by ribbon cutting, Howser statue unveiling

RibbonCutting2.JPGA sold out crowd witnessed the first game at the “New” Kauffman Stadium today.  Several dignitaries took part in a ribbon cutting ceremony before the game.  Royals Chairman/Owner David Glass and Jackson County Executive Mike Sanders cut the ribbon as the “New K” was officially dedicated.


Howsers_April_10.JPGLater, Nancy Howser and her family took part in a moving tribute to the late Dick Howser as a statue of the World Series winning manager was unveiled.

DRI DUCK Fountain Seats

General admission seating is back! The DRI DUCK Fountain Seats, located in left field, are available only on game days (excluding April 10, 2009) for just $7. The first 100 fans arriving at these seats each game receive a special edition Royals cap made exclusively by DRI DUCK. The featured cap design will change for every homestand. Here’s a look at the DRI DUCK signage being installed at Kauffman Stadium.



Single-game tickets are available now!

Hello, Royals fans! Single-game tickets for the 2009 season are available now at!

Ticket Line.jpgA crowd of fans lined the parking lot at Kauffman Stadium to buy tickets this morning. As you can see, the line was long, but many fans were able to purchase tickets for the April 10 home opener. While these tickets sold out quickly, you can still secure tickets for the home opener with a season ticket package of 21 or more games.




We witnessed a bit of history as the new Kauffman Stadium box office opened for the first time.

Preparing for a Royal Coronation

New Crown 2.23.jpgFountains and a crown scoreboard…those are the truly identifying features of Kauffman Stadium. When CrownVision debuted in 2008, the signature top piece was absent. It took time to design a massive new crown to sit atop the world’s largest high definition LED video display. Now it’s almost time for the new crown to go up, piece by piece!


Workers have now installed support beams atop CrownVision. Over the next few weeks, the crown will be installed. Check back for more pictures of the new crown, which promises to be a new Kansas City icon!

Royals 40th Anniversary Highlights


We’re celebrating 40 years of Royals baseball, and there are plenty of new features and opportunities for fans to get involved in 2009. Here are a few:

Fan Memories Collection

Now through Friday, March 27, you can submit photos, videos and written memories of your experiences at The K as well as your favorite Royals moments to . The “memories” will be showcased as part of the Royals 2009 advertising campaign, including in television and radio spots, and print and digital ads.  Additionally, the content will be featured prominently in the second annual Kansas City Sky Show set for June 12 as well as at three Retro Nights scheduled for June 17, July 22 and August 5.

 “Welcome Home” celebration

The “Welcome Home” celebration on Saturday, April 11 will combine the Grand Re-Opening of Kauffman Stadium with the launch of the 40th Anniversary Celebration. Fans will enjoy special pre-game entertainment and festivities while exploring the new Outfield Plaza area, and one lucky fan in attendance will walk away with $40,000 through an in-game random drawing! It could be you!! 

Special Ticket Offers

As part of the 40th Anniversary celebration, the Royals are offering several new ticket choices for fans. Royal Nites, which offer $5 Upper Level tickets for all Monday games except September 21. In addition, the Royals will offer specially-priced “throw-back” tickets for each of the Retro Nights, offering some of the same prices offered in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. Retro Night prices include $6 Lower Level tickets on June 17 during the “Summer of ’69” celebration, $5 Upper level tickets on July 22 during the 1970s celebration, and $3 “GA” seats and $10 Lower Level tickets on August 5 during the 1980s celebration. Fan-favorite Buck Nights, College Nights and Military Mondays will also return in 2009. Check out our season ticket offers at
