KU baseball pulls upset after talk by Buck
The Royals aren’t the only area team playing games in Surprise. KU’s baseball squad had a weekend set against perennial national powerhouse Arizona State.
On Saturday, the Jayhawks received a tour of Royals camp. Catcher John Buck fashioned a KU baseball hat and gave pointers to a few members of the KU squad, who proceeded to defeat the 4th-ranked Sun Devils, 3-2.
Earlier in camp, Buck sported Florida Gators gear as a prank toward Ryan Shealy, a former Florida standout.
Now, John has adopted another prominent university. Buck proudly took bragging rights over teammate and ASU alum Willie Bloomquist.
