FSKC takes the booth outside

The FOX Sports Kansas City broadcast team will have their third “out of the booth” broadcast tonight.  Look for Ryan Lefebvre in left field near the DRI-DUCK seats, while Frank White will report from the Hall of Fame. 

Hey hey hey! – Cosby to be on Sunday's FSKC pregame

Joel Cosby.jpgBill Cosby was at Fenway Park to take in Friday’s Royals-Red Sox game. 

FSKC’s Joel Goldberg had the opportunity to chat with Cosby.  Be sure to watch Joel’s interview on Sunday’s Royals Live pregame show, starting at noon Central before the 12:35 game.

Ryan and Frank 1.jpgLast night, FOX Sports Kansas City announcers Ryan Lefebvre and Frank White left their normal perch on the broadcast level of Kauffman Stadium for a view from the Pepsi Party Porch.  Team photographer Chris Vleisides stopped by for a few pictures.  FSKC will be outside again on Sunday, this time broadcasting from the Bud Light Party Deck on the roof of Rivals in right field.  Look for Ryan and Frank on the Party Deck on Sunday as the Royals battle St. Louis!

Royals Season Preview premieres Tuesday at 10 p.m. on FSKC

The Royals Season Preview, a 30-minute special looking ahead to opening day, premieres Tuesday at 10 p.m. and replays throughout the week on FOX Sports Kansas City.


FOX Sports Kansas City’s Joel Goldberg hosts the show, which includes:

           A preview of the AL Central, with the Royals talking about their chances in the division

           A profile of first baseman Mike Jacobs

           A conversation between Royals Hall of Famers Frank White and George Brett, who talk about the upcoming season and share memories of their playing days

FOX Sports Kansas City’s regular-season coverage of the Royals starts Opening Day, Monday, April 6, when the Royals visit the Chicago White Sox, the first of 140 televised games.

Friday lineup: Aviles back from WBC

The Royals play their second consecutive night game this evening against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Tonight’s game will be televised on FSKC (check your local listings) and is a late addition to the radio schedule (610 Sports in Kansas City). Mike Aviles returns to the lineup after representing Puerto Rico in the World Baseball Classic. Aviles last played in a Royals uniform on February 28. Joakim Soria is on the list of available pitchers. Soria played for Mexico in the WBC and has pitched just once in a Royals uniform this spring. Here’s your lineup:

Royals Spring Preview on Fox Sports Kansas City

Fox Sports Kansas City is airing a Royals Spring Preview that debuts Wednesday, March 11 at 7:30 p.m. and airs three other times in March.

The show includes…

  • A breakdown of Spring Training to date, including updates on the rotation and positional battles
  • A one-on-one interview with new bench coach John Gibbons
  • A “mic’d up” segment with Trey Hillman
  • A feature in which Frank White instructs fans on the nuances of playing second base

Air dates for the Royals Spring Preview on Fox Sports Kansas City (times central):
Wednesday, March 11 at 7:30 p.m.
Sunday, March 15 at 11:30 a.m.

Fox Sports Kansas City to air Royals specials

Fox Sports Kansas City will preview your 2009 Royals and recap the recent Fanfest, Awards Night and Caravan trips in two 30-minute specials airing throughout January and February.

The shows will recap the Royals offseason events and update fans on renovations at Kauffman Stadium.  In addition, Fox Sports Kansas City will preview the 2009 season via interviews with Royals players, including the team’s offseason additions.

Fox Sports Kansas City’s Joel Goldberg hosts the shows, with contributions from Ryan Lefebvre and Frank White. Check your local listings!
