Royals to host Baseball on Ice event on December 18 at Country Club Plaza
To celebrate the holiday season, the Royals will host a free Baseball on Ice event at the Country Club Plaza on Saturday, December 18. The event, scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., will feature a live ice sculpture demonstration, prize giveaways, and appearances from Sluggerrr and the K Crew. Royals representatives will also be on hand with information on the club’s new 13 Game Pack, the perfect gift for the holiday season.
The festivities will take place in front of J. Crew and Scandia Down on the southwest corner of Pennsylvania Avenue and Nichols Road. Beginning at 11:30 a.m., Jeff Addison of Cool Carvings will entertain guests by carving a 40″ x 50″ baseball glove from a solid block of ice, and Sluggerrr, everyone’s favorite mascot, is coming to celebrate the holidays with Royals fans from noon to 2:00 p.m.
Throughout the event, fans will have an opportunity to sign up to win Royals autographed memorabilia, hang out with the K Crew and learn more about the 13 Game Pack.
The 13 Game Pack, which includes tickets to 13 home games at Kauffman Stadium in 2011, starts as low as $65 per package. Fans may choose from one of four 13-game ticket deals – the Tuesday/Friday Package, the Wednesday/Saturday Package or the Thursday/Sunday Package – which include an Opening Day ticket – or a Sunday Value Pack that features all Sunday matinee games.
Tickets are available in the Field Box, Field Plaza, Outfield Box, Rivals Outfield Box, Hy-Vee Reserved Box, Hy-Vee Infield, Hy-Vee Box and Hy-Vee View sections for all plans.

Royals to host Open House/Select-A-Seat event on December 4
The Royals will host a free Open House/Select-A-Seat event at Kauffman Stadium on Saturday, December 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., giving fans an opportunity to reserve seats for 2011 just in time for the holidays.
During the event, fans may try out some of the best seats available for 2011 season ticket plans, including the new 13-Game Pack. Starting at just $65, the 13-Game Pack allows fans to pick from one of four plans, all of which feature some of the most exciting matchups scheduled for Kauffman Stadium in 2011.
A limited number of Steal Home Deal packages are also still available. The Steal Home Deal offer, which allows fans who purchase three Hy-Vee Reserved Box or three Hy-Vee Infield full-season seats to receive one additional seat for free, represents a savings of more than $1,100 over regularly-priced tickets. In addition, fans purchasing the Steal Home Deal ticket package will enjoy all the benefits of becoming a Royals full-season ticket holder – including the opportunity to secure priority status for the 2012 All-Star Game.
The Open House/Select-A-Seat event will also feature the following:
· Food and beverage items in the Diamond Club Lounge
· Raffle for a chance to win great prizes, including 2011 Opening Day tickets, BATS Crown Seats, an All-Star Suite in 2011, Royals gift cards and autographed memorabilia
· Access to the Majestic Team Store for holiday shopping
All fans are welcome, and no ticket is required for admission. Guests are asked to park in Lot M of the Truman Sports Complex and enter Kauffman Stadium through Gate C.
