Royals Game Preview: June 17 at Cleveland

The Royals are just a half-game behind second-place Cleveland as the clubs begin a key three-game set tonight at Progressive Field.  The first pitch is scheduled for 6:05 Central on FOX Sports Kansas City and the Royals Radio Network (REMINDER – Wednesday’s game WILL be televised – it was added after early season rain outs).  Let’s take a look at the lineups:

Royals lineup:  Gordon – LF, Hosmer – 1B, Perez – C, Butler – DH, Cain – CF, Lough – RF, Moustakas – 3B, Getz – 2B, Escobar – SS, Shields – RHP

Indians lineup:  Bourn – CF, Aviles – SS, Kipnis – 2B, Santana – C, Brantley – LF, Reynolds – 1B, Giambi – DH, Raburn – RF, McDonald – 3B, Carrasc0 – RHP

Royals Trivia Fact:  Hal McRae recorded a franchise-record five doubles in a doubleheader vs. Cleveland on August 27, 1974 (three in the first game, two in the second).
