Royals Game Preview: September 27 at Detroit

The Royals wrap up a four-game set at Detroit this afternoon.  The first pitch is scheduled for 12:05 Central.  Today’s game is on the Royals Radio Network (no local TV).

Kansas City lineup: Lough – CF, Escobar – SS, Gordon – LF, Butler – DH, Perez – C, Moustakas – 3B, Francoeur – RF, Hosmer – 1B, Giavotella – 2B, Mendoza – RHP.
Detroit lineup:  Jackson – CF, Berry – LF, Cabrera – 3B, Fielder – 1B, Young – DH, Dirks – RF, Peralta – SS, Avila – C, Infante – 2B, Fister – RHP

Royals Trivia Fact:  Alex Gordon doubled twice last night and has 51 on the season, tying Billy Butler for second in single-season club history.  Hal McRae is first with 54 in 1977.  Who did McRae pass for the record?  Amos Otis, who recorded 40 in 1976.
