Royals Trivia Fact:  Greg Holland notched his seventh win of 2012 last night.  He is the first KC reliever to win at least seven games since 2000, when Ricky Bottalico had nine and Jose Santiago recorded eight.

The real question this offseason will not be what players we acquire, but whether those in power in the business office rethink the pricing structure.

It’s been tremendously bad in past years, but with the advent of the dynamically dumb “Dynamic pricing” which had a game against the last place Twins this year pegged as a “premium game” so the last row of the upper deck — pure nosebeed — was $21!! — it’s really gotten silly at the K. The result? Nearly the entire View Level Infield was empty.

Combined with the parking rip off fee of $10, it is becoming prohibitive for the middle class to attend Royals games, even in the nosebleed. You’re talking about $52 for a couple just to enter the park and sit in the very upper deck!!!

The Royals, who never draw an average of more than 20K fans or so, seriously need to rethink their approach to pricing..:

– Dramatically cut back upper deck pricing so no seat is ever more than $15 in the upper deck.
– Get rid of dynamic pricing.
– Reduce parking to $5.
– Cut the price of basic concessions (sodas, hot dogs, popcorn, nachos) to $3.
