Alcides Escobar homered twice on Saturday – a feat last accomplished by a Royals shortstop in 1997 (Jay Bell). Escobar joined Bell, Kurt Stillwell and U.L. Washington as the only KC shortstops to homer twice in a game (Washington did it two times). Escobar also tied a career high with three RBI – his second straight game with three RBI!
