KC area RBI alums selected in draft
Two players in the Kansas City Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) program were among 14 RBI alumni selected in the 2012 First-Year Player Draft.
The Los Angeles Dodgers drafted first baseman Justin Chibogu in the fourth round and the Tampa Bay Rays selected outfielder Bralin Jackson in the fifth round.
The photo above shows Ron Stevenson, Director, KCMO RBI program (center), with Chibogu (left) and Jackson (right). All three spoke at the RBI Base Ball Patron Party hosted by the Royals on Tuesday night. The RBI Base Ball will occur on Thursday, July 5, at the MLB All-Star FanFest at the Kansas City Convention Center and will benefit local RBI programs. Congratulations to Justin and Bralin!
