Sanchez ready to help KC
Newly-acquired pitcher met with members of the local media at Kauffman Stadium on Thursday morning. The lefty says that he is healthy and has been working out in preparation for the season. The soft-spoken Sanchez brings postseason experience from the 2010 World Series champion Giants and is focused on helping the Royals win in 2012. While he has never pitched at Kauffman Stadium, Sanchez was on hand when KC hosted San Francisco in 2008. He sees The K as a pitcher’s park and is also fine with the warm Midwestern summers, which share some similarities to his native Puerto Rico.
