Royals and Padres to play exhibitions next year on April 3 and 4
The Kansas City Royals and the San Diego Padres announced today that the clubs will play a pair of exhibition games next year on Tuesday, April 3 and Wednesday, April 4 immediately before the start of the 2012 regular season.
The April 3 contest will be held in San Diego’s PETCO Park at 7:05 p.m. PT. The game on April 4 will be hosted by the Padres’ California League Affiliate, the Lake Elsinore Storm, at The Diamond in Lake Elsinore (Calif.) at 2:00 PT. The contest between the two Major League clubs will be the first of its kind at The Diamond. Lake Elsinore is 75 miles north of San Diego.
