All Royals telecasts on FOX Sports will be shown in Iowa
For the first time, all Kansas City Royals telecasts produced by FOX Sports will be available in Iowa. FOX Sports will televise 140 regular season games in 2011. Games will be shown on FOX Sports Midwest or an alternate channel in most of Iowa. FOX Sports Midwest’s complete schedule of St. Louis Cardinals telecasts – 152 regular season games – is also available in Iowa.
In previous seasons, FOX Sports Midwest distributed between 40 and 50 Royals games in Iowa. This year, all 140 games will be available:
· On cable TV, 26 games will be shown on FOX Sports Midwest and the remaining 124 will air on a secondary channel where available, including Mediacom 22.
· On DirecTV, all 140 games will air on channel 672, FOX Sports Kansas City.
· On Dish Network all games will air on a sports alternate channel that varies (444-455 and 470s).
All Royals telecasts are produced in High Definition and are surrounded by the Hy-Vee Royals Live pregame show and Boulevard Royals Live postgame show. Ryan Lefebvre calls the play-by-play on Royals telecasts, alongside Royals Hall of Famers Frank White and Paul Splittorff. Joel Goldberg hosts Royals Live with analyst Royals Hall of Famer Jeff Montgomery and reporter Nate Bukaty.
