The Royals announced today that the Minnesota Twins have claimed left-handed pitcher Dusty Hughes on Outright Waivers. Hughes was designated for assignment when the Royals added Jeff Francis to the 40-man roster on January 20.
Hughes, 28, was 1-3 with a 3.83 ERA in 57 relief appearances in 2010. His 57 appearances were the second-most in the American League among rookies.
