Whom ever this may concern,

I know of a family who is in a major need for Christmas. They are a family of 6 live in Kansas City North.

The Father is an Ex Army Vet whom fought in Desert Storm. He as of a year ago October went into surgery for a hernia and found he had to have a Triple Bypass instead. They found out 3 months after a follow up that a nurse saved his life. He was a few seconds from dying on the table. He ended up with an ICD implant. He is a hard working father whom works for the City of Kansas City as an Airport Security Officer.

His wife is an 37 year old mother whom is a college student that had to drop out of classes for her dream to be a Veterinarian and Zoologist. She drives an 1983 Firebird and is thinking about giving up her dream car. She has Anxiety, Arthritis of knee neck and back. They can not afford their medicines. Husbands is for Diabetes Cholesterol and his heart.

They both have 4 Children. Girls ages, 19,15 and 14 and a boy age 17. They are struggling to get their heat turned back on and live on $80 biweekly of food to feed everyone. Sometimes mom does not eat so that they can. They are in need of utilities, rent, food and Christmas gifts. They have not had Christmas in 5 years. They have a Christmas tree but nothing to put on it but for what the kids made.

They have a 1998 GMC Yukon that lost its wheel last week and had to walk 18 miles to get home and had to leave the truck in a Walmart parking lot. Their truck needs help it needs an new tranny and shocks and such. The wifes Firebird it breaks her heart but she may have to sell it. She can not dive it to school when it snows. Her Bird is really nice just needs new engine tranny shocks and such also. They need a mechanic to donate to repair both.

She has a lot of memories with an 83 F body car her mother growing up had an 83 Trans Am. I think that’s her reason for being so Partial to her Firebird. But she is wanting to trade it in for a 4×4 dodge or Chevy 4 door truck. I would like for them to have a Christmas due to in a year their 17 year old son goes to the Army after High School. This family is in a major need.

They have been through a lot lost their house in 2010 thanks to wonderful Bank of America had to put their dog down when they moved into an apartment, The mother lost an son in 1997, been through abuse with stepfather and her two youngest girls father, oldest son 6 years ago underwent soft clef palate surgery of the roof of his mouth and he almost died of flu Pneumonia and asthma.

She was a dedicated volunteer for a local food pantry helping with paperwork passing out food. Helping the Homeless. She also helps with my Special needs son with reading, homework, discipline his anger symptoms and helps with his seizers and asthma. Course he loves her to death and she has to come over to read to him and tuck him in for bed.

This family deserves help for the Holidays please consider them.
