I love my Royals. But why would I pay that much for a seat to a bottom feeder team..over and over.
Aside from the Sunday value pack, which is a very good deal, the others represent a hike in prices beyond last season.
The Royals really need to investigate a dramatic cut in ticket prices across the board. Today, a full season ticket per-game price in Hy-Vee Reserved is a $1 higher than an individual game price was just 7 years ago.
This dramatic hike in ticket prices — which has come alongside one of the worst stretches in Royals history on the field and during one of the worst economic periods in our country’s history — is simply not sustainable.
I reviewed the season ticket prices for 2011, which I understand also include yet another hike in the already sky-high parking fees, and wow, talk about a killer.
In the upper deck sectons alone, the prices for regular tickets should be as follows:
HyVee Reserved — $13
HyVee Infield — $10
HyVee Box — $9
Hy Vee View Level — $6
Season ticket prices should be correspondingly lower.
