Rookie Jarrod Dyson played a big role in last night’s 9-6 win over Detroit.  Dyson recorded his second three-hit game to go along with career highs of three runs and two doubles.  He collected his first Major League RBI, a walk, a stolen base and a sac bunt.  Jarrod is leading off again tonight.  Let’s take a look at the lineup for the 6:05 Central start:

(Dyson – CF), (Blanco – LF), (Aviles – 2B), (Butler – 1B), (Betemit – 3B), (Ka’aihue – DH), (Betancourt – SS), (Maier – RF), (May – C), (Davies – P)

Really encouraged by some of these under the radar young guys. We know Moose and Hosmer and Colon and probably Myers are all gonna be a big help, but it’s the who else can emerge and keep you from having to sign veterans to fill holes.
Dyson, Robinson, Teaford…guys like that who can play a role without havin to be a superstar.
