Congratulations to Joakim Soria, who recorded his 40th save of the season tonight. Soria had 42 saves in 2008. He becomes the second Royal with two seasons of 40+ saves, joining Dan Quisenberry (45 in 1983, 44 in 1984). The KC record for saves in a season is 45, set by Quisenberry and tied by Jeff Montgomery in 1993.
