Royals-White Sox postponed – rescheduled for August 21 as part of a doubleheader

Tonight’s scheduled game between the Kansas City Royals and Chicago White Sox has been postponed due to rain and inclement weather. The game will be made up tomorrow at 6:10 p.m. CT as the first game of a doubleheader. The second game will follow 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game.  Both games will be televised on Fox Sports Kansas City with the pre-game show, Hy-Vee Royals Live, beginning at 5:30 p.m. CT.

Here are the starting pitchers for tomorrow’s games:

Game 1: RHP Freddy Garcia vs. RHP Phil Humber

Game 2: TBA vs. RHP Bryan Bullington

       All fans holding a ticket for Friday’s game can redeem their tickets for any remaining 2010 Royals regular season game, including tomorrow’s doubleheader.  Tonight’s ticket must be exchanged for a new ticket.  Tickets may be exchanged beginning tomorrow at 9 a.m. at the Kauffman Stadium Box Office at Gate C.  Fans with ticket questions can contact the Royals Ticket Office at 1-800-6-ROYALS or 816-504-4040.

         Tonight is the first postponement of the year for the Royals.
