Royals visit U.S. Capitol, Walter Reed Army Medical Center

IMAG0040.jpgWhile the Royals travel to Baltimore each year, this was their first trip to Washington since the Nationals began playing in D.C. in 2005.  Royals players, staff members and family have had the opportunity to take special tours during their stay.

This morning, a group toured the U.S. Capitol as guests of Senator Kit Bond of Missouri.  FSKC’s Joel Goldberg sent us photos of the tour.  A second group that included Manager Ned Yost, Mike Aviles, Willie Bloomquist, Billy Butler and Luke Hochevar was set to visit patients at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

Who is that in the bottom picture?

Wednesday’s starter, Brian Bannister, is pushing the stroller. Reliever Dusty Hughes is next to Bannister.
