Homestand Highlights: T-Shirts, Bobbleheads and Build-A-Bears fill promotional lineup

Saberhagen_Bobble.jpgThe Royals celebrate the unofficial start of summer with a seven-game homestand that begins with a Memorial Day matinee against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim on Monday, May 31.  Game time is 1:10 p.m.  Following three more games against the Angels (June 1-3), the club welcomes the Detroit Tigers to Kauffman Stadium for a three-game weekend series (June 4-6) to complete a homestand filled with special events and premium giveaways.

Monday, May 31 – Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim vs. Royals, 1:10 p.m.

         Buck “Night” – Enjoy a special Memorial Day edition of Buck Night with hot dogs, small Pepsi products, peanuts, Twinkies and Gameday Magazines for just $1 each.

         Hy-Vee Royal “Nite” – All Hy-Vee Level tickets (excluding Hy-Vee Reserved Box) are just $5.

         1985 World Series 25th Anniversary T-Shirt Tuesday – The first 20,000 fans receive an exclusive T-shirt celebrating the 25th anniversary of the club’s 1985 World Series victory presented by AT&T.

         Royal Blue Balloting Day – Fans are encouraged to vote for Royals players by submitting Firestone All-Star ballots for an opportunity to receive an exclusive All-Star T-shirt and Royals prizes.

         Kansas City Sky Show presented by 106.5 The Wolf, Hy-Vee and Pepsi – Stay after the game for the biggest fireworks show in the Midwest.  The 2010 Sky Show will pay tribute to the 25th anniversary of the club’s 1985 World Series victory with a complete 360 audio-visual experience blending world-class fireworks, pyrotechnics, special effects, mind-bending magic from entertainer Michael Grandinetti, high-definition video and a choreographed musical score.

         Royals Hall of Famer Bret Saberhagen bobblehead presented by Fox Sports Kansas City to the first 20,000 fans.

         610 Saturday – Enjoy great food, live music and activities for fans of all ages prior to the game in the Outfield Experience.

         Build-A-Bear Workshop Polar Bear presented by the Kansas City Zoo to the first 8,000 kids 14 and under.  

         Faith & Family Day – The event, hosted by KCTV5 Chief Meteorologist Katie Horner, features a post-game concert by American Music Award-nominated Christian Artist Jeremy Camp.  A game ticket is required for admittance.

         Fun Run presented by Sprint.  All fans can run the bases after the game (conditions permitting).
