Homestand Highlights: May 11-16

GreinkeFINAL_mockup_v1.jpgThe Royals return to Kauffman Stadium for a six-game homestand against American League Central rivals beginning on Tuesday, May 11.  The club welcomes the Cleveland Indians for a three-game series Tuesday-Thursday (May 11-13) followed by a three-game weekend set with the Chicago White Sox, May 14-16.

Tuesday, May 11 – Cleveland Indians vs. Royals, 7:10 p.m.

         Zack Greinke T-Shirt Tuesday – The first 20,000 fans in attendance receive an exclusive T-shirt featuring the 2009 American League Cy Young Award winner presented by Hy-Vee.

Wednesday, May 12 – Cleveland Indians vs. Royals, 7:10 p.m.

         Buck Night – Hot dogs, small Pepsi products, peanuts and Twinkies for just $1 each all night long.

Thursday, May 13 – Cleveland Indians vs. Royals, 1:10 p.m.

         School Day at The K presented by Fox 4 – The Royals and FOX 4 WDAF-TV welcome more than 20,000 students to the 12th Annual School Day at The K.

         Girls Night Out presented by Celsius Tannery – VIP ticket packages, which include a game ticket, Royals cap, early access to the pregame party in the Outfield Experience and a $5 donation to Susan G. Komen for the Cure Greater Kansas City, are still available.  In addition, the first 10,000 ladies receive a Royals T-shirt courtesy of Celsius Tannery. (photo attached)

         Hy-Vee/Pepsi Fireworks Fridays – A spectacular fireworks show after every Friday home game.

Saturday, May 15 – Chicago White Sox vs. Royals, 6:10 p.m.

         Armed Forces Day presented by the National World War I Museum at Liberty Memorial – Join us for a tribute to our Armed Forces beginning at 5:30 p.m.  The event will include a special video presentation, first pitch and fly-over courtesy of the Vance AFB T-6 Texans (conditions permitting) to honor our armed forces.  Fans also have until noon on Monday, May 10 to nominate veterans to be honored during the ceremony at  Lieutenant General Robert Caslen, Jr., commander of the Combined Arms Center at Fort Leavenworth (Kan.) will be the featured speaker.

         610 Saturday – Enjoy great food, live music and activities for fans of all ages prior to the game in the Outfield Experience.

Sunday, May 16 – Chicago White Sox vs. Royals, 1:10 p.m.

         YMCA Healthy Kids Day – The Royals partner with the YMCA of Greater Kansas City and Children’s Mercy Family Health Partners for YMCA Healthy Kids Day at The K.  Special activities and information booths will be set up in the Outfield Experience to promote an active, healthy lifestyle.  Ticket discounts are available with a portion of each purchase going to the YMCA.  For more information or to purchase tickets, visit

         Fun Run presented by Sprint.  All fans can run the bases after the game (conditions permitting).
