First-Round Pick Has Other Duties Besides Pitching
Royals 2009 first-round pick Aaron Crow, who impressed in three Major League outings this spring and is now pitching well in spring games for Double-A NW Arkansas, had some other business to attend to this morning.
The Royals, staging a minor league game at 10 a.m. Arizona time, had some fun with the Topeka, Kan., native. If you look at the photo, that’s Crow on the left serving as the batboy for this morning’s game. No word if Crow’s talent on the mound served him well as a batboy, but I am sure all of the guys got a kick out of watching him in action. And, to his credit, the University of Missouri product was being a good sport about it as well.
