Single-game tickets on sale March 6

Single-game tickets for the Kansas City Royals 2010 season, including a limited number of Opening Day tickets, will go on sale on Saturday, March 6 at 9 a.m.  Tickets will be available on-line at, by phone at 1-800-6ROYALS, at metro-area Hy-Vee stores (no Opening Day tickets available) and at the Kauffman Stadium Box Office.

All fans planning to purchase tickets at Kauffman Stadium on March 6 must enter the Truman Sports Complex through Gate 2, located off of Blue Ridge Cutoff on the east side of the complex, or Gate 6, off of Stadium Drive on the west side.  All other gates will be closed to fan traffic.  Fans will be instructed to park in Lot M and directed to the Kauffman Stadium Box Office located at Gate C.  Overnight camping will not be permitted.

The Royals will implement a random drawing procedure for purchasing tickets at Kauffman Stadium on March 6.  Fans wishing to take part in the random drawing must obtain a wristband at the Gate C lobby on Thursday, March 4 (noon to 6 p.m.), Friday, March 5 (noon to 9 p.m.), or Saturday, March 6 (7 a.m. to 8:15 a.m.)  There is no advantage to collecting a wristband early within this time frame.  On March 6, any fan that does not have a wristband will be in a second line behind the fans with wristbands.  The drawing to determine line order will be held at 8:15 a.m. on Saturday and tickets will go on sale at 9 a.m.

DRI DUCK Fountain Seats for the April 5 opener will go on sale on March 6.  DRI DUCK Fountain Seats for the remaining 80 games will be sold on the day of the game only.

The Kauffman Stadium Box Office will be open on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  In addition, there will be extended hours for phone sales for the entire 2010 season.  Beginning March 6, phone operators will be available from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week.  The Royals Majestic Team Store will open for fans at 8 a.m. on Saturday and remain open until 4 p.m.

Fans can purchase tickets by calling 1-800-6ROYALS (1-800-676-9257).

Season ticket packages are currently available at and by calling (816) 504-4040.  Fans can guarantee themselves Opening Day tickets with any Full Season, Half Season or 21-game season ticket plan.

Ok so this is basically a re-release of information we already knew about. That’s fine and dandy, I guess. But it’s a week away from the presale on March 4 and still no promotions schedule? I know I am not the only one wondering about this.
Please, ATH, help! When will the promotions schedule finally be released?

My apologies ATH, as I insert foot in mouth. RIght after I posted about the promotions schedule, I went to the Royals web-site, and there it was. Very good to see!
