Royal blue meets the Big Red One at Fort Riley (photos)

The Royals Caravan presented by Fox Sports Kansas City rolled into Fort Riley today.  George Brett, Jamie Quirk, Joe Randa and broadcaster Joel Goldberg met with the troops from the First Infantry Division (the Big Red One.)  The group will visit elementary school students in Salina this afternoon before taking in the K-State vs. Texas A&M game tonight at Bramlage Coliseum in Manhattan.  Special thanks to Royals VP Mike Swanson for sending photos from his phone. 

Here, George Brett and Joe Randa take a look at an assault helicopter.  George took his turn in the pilot’s seat.

Our guys took group photos with the military personnel and their families.  At left is the Black Hawk helicopter.  The Chinook is on the right.
