2010 Royals FanFest tickets on sale now

The Royals have announced that tickets for the 2010 Royals FanFest presented by Sprint and Teva Neuroscience are now on sale.  The club’s marquee offseason event is set for Friday, January 15 from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday, January 16 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Overland Park Convention Center in Overland Park, Kan. 

Fans can kick off the new year in a major league way at Royals FanFest with more player appearances and autograph sessions, a Zack Greinke backpack giveaway, new interactive games for all ages, main stage programs and more. 

Beginning today, fans may secure FanFest tickets by visiting www.royals.com/fanfest.  Tickets may also be purchased by calling (816) 504-4040 or visiting the Kauffman Stadium Box Office during business hours (Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.).  Online and phone orders are subject to applicable service fees. 

Tickets purchased in advance will be available at discounted prices. Advance two-day passes are $18 for adults and $9 for youth (ages 6-17), while advance single-day tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for youth.  All kids age five and under will be admitted free.  In addition, Royals 2010 season ticket holders will receive complimentary admission for Friday’s events.

Since debuting in 2008, the popular two-day event has welcomed nearly 20,000 fans and raised more than $200,000 for Royals Charities.   

In addition to Royals FanFest, the club will also be hosting Royals Awards Night presented by James B. Nutter on Thursday, January 14 at the Overland Park Convention Center.  A select group of honorees, including 2009 A.L. Cy Young Zack Greinke and first baseman Billy Butler, will be recognized for their exceptional contributions both on and off the field in 2009.  A complete listing of award winners and ticket information for Royals Awards Night and the Budweiser Pre-Party will be announced at a later date.
