Ronald McDonald.jpgThe Royals minor league pitchers and players of the year toured the Kansas City community today.  The morning started with a stop at Ronald McDonald House of Kansas City, where the players assembled special kits for the “There’s a Monkey in My Chair” program.  The program, started in January in Salina, Kan., provides “monkey kits” to pre-school and elementary-aged children who are diagnosed with cancer.

Childrens Mercy.jpgThe next stop was Children’s Mercy Hospital, where the guys signed autographs and drew pictures with the kids.

Negro Leagues.jpgToday’s tour wrapped up with a visit to the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum.  Here, Bob Kendrick, Vice President of Marketing at the NLBM, talks to the group on the Field of Legends.
