Teahen receives Clemente Award (Photo)
Mark Teahen received his award tonight as the Royals nominee for the Roberto Clemente Award Presented by Chevy. Teahen is the local spokesperson for Challenger, a program which removes the barriers that keep children with mental and physical disabilities off of the baseball field. He was joined on the field tonight by (l to r) Karl Kramer, District Sales Manager for Chevy; Michelle Ford, Senior Vice President of Adaptive Programming for the YMCA of Greater Kansas City; and Scott and Lisa Hallier, YMCA Challenger Advisory Council members and co-chairs of the “Mark Teahen – Challenge Your Fashion” event.
