Tuesday lineup: Greinke batting eighth
The Royals will play their fourth regular season series in Houston this week (the clubs also finished the preseason slate with exhibition games in Houston from 2004-2007).
The pitcher is required to bat in Interleague games played at National League parks. Trey Hillman is taking a page out of Tony La Russa’s book by putting Zack Greinke in the eighth slot in the lineup tonight. Zack loves to hit, and he belted his first Major League home run in 2005 at Arizona off of Russ Ortiz, who happens to be pitching for Houston tonight. Here’s your Kansas City lineup:
DeJesus – LF
Bloomquist – SS
Butler – 1B
Guillen – RF
Teahen – 3B
Callaspo – 2B
Olivo – C
Greinke – P
Maier – CF
