Viewing party on June 2 for Rays-Royals

6-18 KC Live 4.JPGMark your calendars for next Tuesday…the Royals are hosting a viewing party in the Power and Light District in downtown Kansas City.  The Boys in Blue will be playing Tampa Bay at 6:08 p.m. Central.  The free party starts at 5:00 and is for fans of all ages.  The game will be shown on the area’s 192-square foot videoboard.

The event will feature performances from the Mizzou Golden Girls, the UMKC Dance Team, and the Lee’s Summit (Mo.) North Drum Line. Kauffman Stadium in-game host Tim Scott, the 2009 K Crew and Sluggerrr will host contests and games, giving away Royals prizes to fans in attendance.  Fans will have the opportunity to win autographed Royals items and gift cards to select restaurants in the Power and Light District throughout the event.

If you missed last year’s viewing party, check out the recap from former ATH blogger Trevor.  It was a fun night with most fans taking home at least one prize or promotional item.  The night was capped by a Mike Aviles home run and a 2-1 win over the cross-state rivals from St. Louis!
