Trey Hillman Media Session

Hillman on Manny

Even with the superb play of our hometown Royals, several of the questions during the interview were geared towards the Manny Ramirez story.  Our manager made a few comments on the matter.  “It’s going to hurt their organization for sure, and it doesn’t help our game”, Hillman said.  He went on to say he was going to reserve judgment seeing as he didn’t know the entire story.  “I am not an accusational person, I don’t judge people”.  He said he was waiting to get all the facts, “their have been too many times where innocent players have paid a price, I will be waiting to get all the facts on this one”.

Sergeant at Arms

Manager Trey Hillman said in the interview that we have a fantastic man on the job keeping our players educated and knowledgeable about what they can and can’t take.  Ty Hill (Kansas City’s Strength and Conditioning Coordinator) does a terrific job with our program that educates our players on the supplements that are cleared by MLB, says Hillman.  He runs a repetitive program geared towards making sure there is no ambiguity with regards to unknowingly taking a banned substance.
