Special information regarding jersey giveaway
The Royals will distribute 40th anniversary replica jerseys (presented by Fox Sports Kansas City) on Saturday. We’re expecting a big crowd, so here a few tips on the promotion:
1. ALL gates open at 3:00 p.m. – that’s an hour early for stadium gates and the normal Saturday time for the Outfield Experience.
2. Jerseys are for the first 20,000 fans
3. Jerseys will be given out at all gates
4. We are giving out two sizes – adult medium and extra large. There will be no exchange tables this year, fans will be able to pick their size at the gates.
5. One jersey per fan per ticket. If you are holding multiple tickets you will only be able to use one to enter and receive a jersey. You may exit and re-enter with an additional unscanned ticket to receive another jersey.

While this is a great promo, I think allowing people who re-enter over and over (i.e. resellers) to get tons of jerseys is not so good. I showed up a few hours early last year and still didn’t get one and apparently it was partly due to such people.
