Thursday Lineup: Teahen returns

On Wednesday, Billy Butler belted a three-run home run and Mitch Maier circled the bases for an inside-the-park round-tripper as KC beat Seattle 9-2. Today, the Chicago White Sox venture into Surprise. The road trip is much shorter this year for the South Siders, who have taken up residence in nearby Glendale after spending 11 seasons training in Tucson. Here’s a bit of trivia…did you know that the White Sox spent their first two years (1901 and 1902) training near Kansas City in Excelsior Springs, Mo.? Maybe days like today (forecast high of 39 in Excelsior Springs) sent them south!

Today’s game can be heard on royals.com with a subscription to Gameday Audio. Mark Teahen is back in the lineup after representing Canada at the World Baseball Classic. Here’s the lineup:

Coco Crisp –  CF
Mark Teahen – 2B
David DeJesus – LF
Mike Jacobs – DH
Billy Butler – 1B
Alex Gordon – 3B
John Buck – C
Ross Gload – RF
Tony Pena, Jr. – SS
Horacio Ramirez – LHP

Available Pitchers:
Kyle Davies                   RHP
Yasuhiko Yabuta           RHP
