Greatest_Moments.jpg
Bricks_2.JPGIt’s great to be back at the K! We see something new every day! Today, workers started installing the first phase of the Royals Legacy Bricks. We saw a variety of personal Royals memories on the bricks. Some of the Greatest Moments in Royals history will be displayed alongside the bricks. You still have time to order bricks for your family and friends during Phase Two of the program…call 1-877-KCR-BRIX or visit this page on royals.com. All proceeds from the Royals Legacy Brick Program support Royals Charities, benefiting children, education and neighborhoods.

Single-game ticket sale procedure

Single-game tickets for the 2009 season, including a limited number of Opening Day tickets, go on sale this Saturday, March 7 at 9 a.m.  Tickets will be available at royals.com, by phone at 1-800-6ROYALS, at metro-area Hy-Vee stores (no Opening Day tickets available) and at the Kauffman Stadium Ticket Windows.

Fans planning to purchase tickets at Kauffman Stadium on Saturday must enter the Truman Sports Complex through Gate 2, located off of Blue Ridge Cutoff on the east side of the complex, or Gate 6, off of Stadium Drive on the west side.  All other gates will be closed to fan traffic.  Fans will be instructed to park in Lot J and directed to the Kauffman Stadium Ticket Windows located at Gate C.

Due to the ongoing construction at the Truman Sports Complex, overnight camping will not be permitted.  The Royals will implement a random drawing procedure for purchasing tickets at Kauffman Stadium on Saturday.  Beginning at 5 p.m. on Friday and ending at 7:20 a.m. on Saturday, fans may visit the Truman Sports Complex at Gate 2 or Gate 6 to collect a numbered ticket from a Royals event staff member.  There is no advantage to collecting a ticket early within this time frame.  The drawing to determine line order will be held at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday at Gate B, located at the southwest corner of Kauffman Stadium.  Fans with numbered tickets must be in place by 8:30 a.m. to ensure their spot in line.

For those fans who come to the stadium Saturday to purchase tickets, the Royals will conduct brief 10-minute tours of the newly renovated Plaza Level from 9-10 a.m.

The Kauffman Stadium Ticket Windows will be open special hours for the opening weekend of sales.  Tickets may be purchased at the stadium on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  In addition, there will be extended hours for phone sales for the entire 2009 season.  Beginning this Saturday, phone operators will be available from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week to better serve Royals fans.

In the Greater Kansas City area, fans can purchase tickets by calling the Royals Call Center at (816) 504-4040.  Fans outside Kansas City can call 1-800-6ROYALS (1-800-676-9257).

Season ticket packages are currently available online at royals.com and by calling (816) 504-4040.  Fans can guarantee themselves Opening Day tickets with any Full Season, Half Season or 21-game season ticket plan starting at just $168 per seat.
