Prostate Cancer Check.JPGFor Thursday’s afternoon game at The K – that ended with the Royals defeating the Rangers, 6-5 – we joined MLB in its effort to fight prostate cancer. Normally, we hold Prostate Cancer Awareness Day on Father’s Day, which is this Sunday (June 15), but since the club will be on the road in Arizona this weekend, we opted to help raise awareness now…

So, before the win Thursday, Manager Hillman and outfielder/first baseman Mark Teahen presented the Prostate Cancer Foundation with a $5,000 grant on behalf of Royals Charities.
