Valentine's Day Hosptial Visit

Handing out Valentine’s Day wishes and hearty handshakes, some Royals alumni went room-to-room at the Kansas City VA Medical Center Thursday as part of the hospital’s annual National Salute to Hospitalized Veterans.

Each year during the month of February, the Department of Veterans Affairs takes time to pay tribute to the hospitalized veterans. This year, former Royals players "Big John" Mayberry, Al Fitzmorris, Shawn Sedlacek, Brian McRae and Joe Randa as well as former team trainer Mickey Cobb participated in the salute, passing out autographed baseball caps and swapping stories with the veterans they met.
