Frank White Speaks to Tiger Club
Royals Hall of Fame second baseman Frank White roared with some Tigers Tuesday as the guest speaker at the weekly meeting of the Kansas City Tiger Club – a locally based University of Missouri-Columbia Booster Club. The Tiger Club, which meets throughout the year, but weekly during the college football season, gathered at Lidia’s in the Crossroads district to hear Frank speak and field questions.
When Frank finished, the KC Tigers – who were also probably still slightly pumped up from the big victory over Nebraska this past weekend – gave the Royals eight-time Gold Glove second baseman a standing ovation, which one member described as "probably the first, and definitely the longest" standing ovation in Tiger Club history!
