Brrrr…It's Coat Drive Time
Clean out those closets, Royals fans, and bring us those coats that you can’t wear or don’t need any more! It’s the fourth annual Royals Charities Coat Drive this Friday, Sept. 28, and the Royals Wives will be out at Kauffman to collect new and gently worn coats. The coats are benefiting the Johnson County Christmas Bureau this year, which opens a holiday shop each winter for low-income families from Johnson County, Kansas.
With winter just around the corner, every coat – all sizes needed – helps a little! Here’s the rundown of the facts for this year’s drive:
FACTS OF ROYALS CHARITIES COAT DRIVE:
- DATE: Friday, Sept. 28, 2007 – Royals vs. Cleveland Indians, 7:10 p.m. game
- TIME: 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
- LOCATION: Gates A, B, C and D of Kauffman Stadium – - Royals Wives will be at Gate B, while Royals Charities volunteers will be stationed at Gates A, C and D.
- COLLECTING: New and gently worn coats in clean and good condition, coats of all sizes (men, women, boys and girls)
- BENEFITS: Johnson County Christmas Bureau from Johnson County, Kansas
