Royals "Beisbol" at The K

Viva Los Royals!

That’s right! It’s a fiesta at Kauffman Stadium tonight as the Royals host their first "Viva Los Royals" celebration in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month.

The "Viva Los Royals" celebration begins with a pre-game concert inside Gate A behind the spiral ramp beginning at 5:15 p.m. Kansas City-based Las Estrellas will start the show before comedian Alex Reymundo takes over the microphone to emcee. Viva_shirt_1A handful of Royals players will join Reymundo on stage to entertain the crowd before singers Jay Perez and Jose, Jose wrap the festivities with back-to-back musical performances. In addition to the music, expect some traditional Hispanic food prepared by the Culinary Arts Program of Kansas City’s Guadalupe Center.

You’ll also have the chance to purchase an exclusive Royals Beisbol "Viva Los Royals" T-shirt – available for just $10 with proceeds benefiting the Guadalupe Center of Kansas City! The shirts are available for cash at the event, 0908_1but you can swipe your credit card for one in both the Pro Shops as well.

Tickets for tonight are still available, but seem to be moving fast. And, on that note, if you were planning on coming out Saturday to watch rookie Brian Bannister take the mound for the Royals as well as collect your fifth and final bobblehead – Fred Patek – you better act fast on getting those tickets if you haven’t already. Reports from the ticket office indicate we are nearing a sell-out…

We hope to see you tonight when you can join us as we live it up at "Viva Los Royals!"
