Sweeping Up Homestand
Pretty sure this photo helps sum up how great the homestand ended for the Royals…
What a great weekend for Royals baseball! The sweep over the Rangers was the club’s first at home since a three-game sweep over Boston last season, Aug. 8-10. It also secured our second straight winning month. The Royals haven’t posted back-to-back winning months since doing so June and July of 2003. The 10-0 victory marked the third time the Royals have shut out their opponent this year and the second time in four games. Plus, it all happened on the same day that the "Voice of the Royals" was honored in Cooperstown. Check out Denny’s speech here if you haven’t already.
Royals are in Minnesota for a four-game set that begins tonight, 7:10 p.m. on Sports Radio 810 WHB and RSTN.
