Congressional Baseball Game
Interleague play might be over, but the Royals still found themselves in Washington, D.C., Monday evening in the Washington Nationals ballpark.
Or, rather, a Royals uniform found itself in the nation’s capital for the 46th annual Congressional Baseball Game at RFK Stadium. Congressman Sam Graves, representing Missouri’s sixth district, sported the authentic Royals uniform. He stole two bases and scored a run for the Republicans, who defeated the Democrats for the seventh straight year, 5-2.
Also representing the state and Missouri teams (from left-right): U.S. Rep. Kenny Hulshof, U.S. Rep. Russ Carnahan, U.S. Rep. Lacy Clay and U.S. Rep. Graves.
