Gloves for Kids Tonight

Need your Royals fix today? Well, even though the team has an off day on the field, they are spending part of it helping the community and they are inviting Royals fans to join them.

From 6-8 p.m. Monday evening, Royals John Buck, David DeJesus, Jimmy Gobble, Alex Gordon, Tony Pena, Jr., Ryan Shealy and Mark Teahen will join Royals broadcaster Ryan Lefebvre (and Sluggerrr!) for the annual Gloves For Kids event. The Royals crew will be at the ****’s Sporting Goods located in the Town Center Plaza in Leawood, Kan., meeting fans to help raise money for baseball equipment. The purchased baseball equipment will go to Kansas City’s disadvantaged youth at the annual with a portion going to youth baseball programs in Greensburg, Kan.

The players will sign in two different one-hour sessions – three or four players at each session. Along with meeting the players, each fan that donates at least $20 will receive a $5 certificate to for ****’s Sporting Goods.

A LITTLE FYI: The I-70 Series begins Tuesday and there are still tickets available for purchase for each day of the three-game set against the Redbirds. Get your tickets and let’s pack Kauffman Stadium with Royal BLUE!
