Game Items for Charity

With your help, Thursday’s big – and historical – pitching match-up could help make a big difference for someone else.

On Friday, several items from Thursday’s game against the Red Sox will be on the Royals online auction site – http://royals.auction.mlb.com/ – with the proceeds benefiting Royals Charities, the charitable arm of the organization. The game featured Royals right-hander Zack Greinke in his first start since 2005 facing Boston’s rookie right-hander and Japanese hero Daisuke Matsuzaka, who made his Major League debut.

o Game-used bases – first, second and third
o Game-used home plate
